NFL Conference Finals- Giants at 49ers
I’m so excited for this NFC Championship game. The red, hot New York Football Giants vs. the showstopper San Francisco 49ers; two teams stepping up at the right time, and coming off their biggest wins of the season. What more could a NFL fan want?
All year San Fran has been a defensive powerhouse, but this past week they proved that they could win in a shootout. They not only played a great defensive game, forcing 5 turnovers and holding the Saints to 37 rushing yards, but Alex Smith also went toe to toe with Drew Brees on offense.
The New York Giants pulled off a massive win over the defending Superbowl Champion Green Bay Packers. They made Aaron Rodgers look like Tim Couch. The Giants D-line rattled the Packers offense for 60 minutes. They appeared “in control” and looked like the better team. Eli Manning proved once and for all that he is an elite quarterback, in the class of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady.
This Sunday, in the “underestimated/undervalued quarterback bowl” we are in for a real treat. These teams are so similar; the only thing that really sets them apart is playoff experience and home field advantage. So, the question is, which of these will be a bigger factor? I believe playoff experience will come through for the New York Giants.
In a close game, the Giants will score in the final seconds to punch their ticket to the Superbowl. Take the Giants straight up and the Over 42 points!!
Prediction: Giants 27 – 49ers 23
