NFL Week 1 Picks- New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans

Patriots at Titans- September 9, 2012
Potentially one of the most interesting NFL Week 1 match ups has the New England Patriots travelling to Tennessee to take on the a revitalized Chris Johnson and the Titans. New England has opened at 7 point favorites and is down to 6 points on most sites.
Jake Locker has won the week 1 starting QB spot over veteran Matt Hassleback. This benefits the less than stellar New England defense which will be able to focus more of CJ2K. If New England can slow down Johnson even moderately and make Locker throw the ball down field, New England has a good chance of winning this game easily.
Tom Brady has endless options on offense and this year should be very much like last year with the ability to put up a lot of points. Tennessee will be a good team this year, if Chris Johnson can return to form. But I don’t see Locker out dueling Brady.
Noteworthy Stats:
Teams that lose in the Superbowl often don’t cover the spread in week 1
Tom Brady has thrown for nearly 40,000 passing yards, 300 TD’s in 161 games in the NFL. Jack Locker boasts 542 yards, 4 TD passed in 5 games…. enough said.
Pinnacle Sports opening lines- Patriots 7 point favorites in Tennessee
